Amazon.com Product Description The Worx electric lawn mower features a 16-inch cutting blade, a quiet yet powerful 13-amp motor, and can be used to mulch as well as to mow. Freeing you from oil and air filter changes and without producing harmful emissions, this electric mower starts easily with the push of a button. The mower's cutting height can easily be adjusted from 3/4 inch to 2-3/4 inches with a one-touch, six-position lever. The ergonomic, soft-grip handle reduces fatigue, improves control, can be adjusted in height for any member of the household, and folds down when not in use for compact storage; the mower's lightweight construction and built-in carrying handles make it easy to transport. The spacious grass box collects up to 13 gallons of clippings, includes a viewing window to determine how full it is, and detaches quickly for emptying and cleaning. This electric mower is ideal for small yards and homes with limited storage space.

Urban Dwellers Dream December 6, 2009 Simone N. Seward (Norfolk, VA) I live in the city so that means very little space and a very little yard but even the small ones need mowing. I just got my WORX today, took me all of 30 minutes with two kids, 3 and 1 1/2 yrs old, "helping." I read previous reviews that said the grass catcher was hard to impossible to put together but mine snapped into place with a little elbow grease and slight deviation from the manual...started at the front and worked my way around.
I haven't used mine yet but I borrowed my neighbors a few times which is what made me want to get one for myself. Compared to the gas mowers I have used before this one is light, easy to maneuver, powerful, a breeze to start, relatively easy on the ears and easy to store. You might think it awkward with how long the WORX looks in the picture but the handle folds down about one third of the way down so it saves a bunch of space. Of course I'm writing this kind of based of the WORX lawn mower next door and not the one in my shed(performance-wise) but they are the same model so I feel comfortable writing this review without having used the one that I bought yet. Think of this as a general product review and not a specific experience review.
Happy mowing!
Lacks Durability - 30 Month Review November 28, 2009 C. Pittack (Seattle, WA) Originally I was impressed with this small, light weight mower. However, after 3 seasons it is on the way to the landfill and I am going back to a Briggs & Stratton gas engined mower.
1 - Grass Catcher. The grass catcher ships in 2 halves which are snapped together by purchaser. The snap together fastner method is simply not strong enough to stand up to the obglitory banging against the side of the yard waste bin because the chute/exit is too small. Any moisture in the grass forces you to bang quite hard against the bin the two halves separate.
2 - Safety Handle. In season two the handle assembly (metal handle, plastic body) came apart and required a "work around". Frankly safety devices should not fail. Imagine the seat belts in your car failing after 3 years.
3- Motor Quit. At the end of season three the motor burned out.
At this point I am returning to a gas powered unit. If this is the type of durability I can expect then I would have land-filled 5 electric mowers over the same period I gave my gas mower 2 tune ups. Not sure which has then greater environmental impact, throwing out 5 mowers or the air pollution of a gas mower.
love it! September 13, 2009 N. Griffiths (Roanoke, VA) I owned another brand electric mower and liked it very much. It was easy because the handle flipped making turns easy. This WORX handle does not flip but I love it. The grass "bag" holds a lot and I use the grass clippings for deep mulch. It is the only thing that keeps this Virginia "wire grass" out of my plants. It cuts a smaller swath but is so lightweight that it's great!
Great Little Lawn Mower September 8, 2009 Carlo Deluca (Las Cruses, NM) This Mower is a great little unit. I have used it 4 times already and it is a pleasure not to have to deal with gas cans. I fold it up and it fits in my small deck storage box, so no need to find a spot in the garage and track in any remaining grass.
Poor Service July 29, 2009 Ralph Swithenbaum (Long Island, NY) The on-off switch broke on the Worx mower in its second year of use. Worx can't or won't give an update on if or when a replacement switch will be available. Don't buy it - if it breaks you can't get spare parts.
